ENERCA speakers at the 3rd Pan-European Conference

The 3rd Pan-European Conference on Haemoglobinopathies & Rare Anaemias, organized by the Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF), was hold in Limassol (Cyprus) on November 24th - 26th. With only three editions this event has become a must-be for experts in the field.  During three days of intensive activity a wide range of aspects related with Haemoglobinopathies & Rare Anaemias were discussed, including two special sessions devoted to ENERCA.

On addition of being among the event organizers, ENERCA was on the center of attention on October 26th. The debate encouraged by ENERCA partners focused on the role of Experts Centres, cross-border health, the improvement of education and training on rare anaemias, and laboratory diagnosis, epidemiology and screening issues. The ENERCA sessions were moderated by Dr. Joan Lluis Vives-Corrons, coordinator of ENERCA, and Dr. María del Mar Mañú Pereira, project manager of ENERCA. These sessions were sponsored by SEBIA, Novartis and Vienna Lab.

The Pan-European Conference was a successful meeting, and was attended by experts, patients and other stakeholders from around Europe and the globe. The ENERCA presentations raised a big interest, and they are now available in PDF in the ENERCA website.
