Hexokinase deficiency
This is a rare enzyme deficiency associated with chronic haemolytic anaemia. Clinical manifestations of
Hexokinase
(HK) deficiency are very similar to those of pyruvate kinase (PK) deficiency but anaemia is, in general, more severe.
