 Gluthatione synthetase

Gluthatione synthetase

Gluthatione synthetase (GS) deficiency is a little more frequent than GCS and is associated with a total lack of RBC reduced glutathione (GSH). This enzyme deficiency is characterized by chronic haemolytic anaemia and the urinary elimination of oxoproline or pyroglutamic acid (oxoprolinuria).
